Philadelphia Mural Trip

Philadelphia Mural Trip

On October 4th, several of our artistically inclined students participated in a Philadelphia Mural tour around Center City. Philly is home to over 300 public murals and our very informative guide, Tish, shared her knowledge about this amazing arts program.

We saw a variety of painted murals depicting neighborhood themes and were introduced to the city’s new project, Monument Lab. After our hour and a half walk around the city, we stopped at the famous Reading Terminal for lunch.

Everyone agreed that they learned a lot, loved the city of Philadelphia and discovered a mecca of accessible public art right in their own backyard!
