parent support group
Research shows that providing parents of teens who are coping with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues a forum to discuss and support one another leads to an increased sense of belonging and empowerment. Through the HPS Parent Support Group, parents have the opportunity to share their children's struggles and triumphs and support each other emotionally.
The Parent Support Group is a chance for parents to form new relationships, relieve feelings of isolation, reinforce positive parenting and coping behaviors, help focus frustration, use energy in productive ways, and share information and resources.
The Parent Support Group is offered, virtually, throughout the year. Counselors witl email information to parents prior to each session.
